Awaiting Gus Ring’s new album For Us Lonely Souls set to be released February 28th, 2020 through Kick The Flame, the Swedish dark-pop songwriter now gives us an exclusive insight into his live performances to come.

The live video session for the single ‘Will I Be Alone For The Rest Of My Life?’ was recorded at Babybazaar Studios in Berlin. For the first time, we’re invited to witness Gus Ring’s music performed as a trio, featuring Jolanda Moletta (from She Owl) on keyboards and Leon Griese (from The Somnambulist) on drums. While keeping the unique emptiness and eerie melodies that is Gus Ring, the trio excels with newfound power and creative dynamics as they play with fragile minimalism to cinematic crescendos, without fear of experimentation and psychedelic surprises.

In a warm mystic haze that might lead your thoughts to movies like Jim Jarmusch’s Only Lovers Left Alive, Gus Ring’s fragile yet powerful voice and soaring ambient guitar mends perfectly into Leon Griese’s dark jazz drumming, Jolanda Moletta’s haunting vocals, heavy mellotron bass and sharp oriental leads.

For Us Lonely Souls will be released on February 28th 2020 through Kick The Flame.
