Dispersed throughout Europe, four artists came together to form the band now known as NKOS. The band initally started out as a studio-based project and later evolved into a full band. They recently signed to Beatbuzz Records and released their debut single ‘Little Miss Numb’. It’s a synth and beat driven track, a great addition to your summer soundtrack.

We wanted to find out a little more about the band and what influenced their sound so we asked them to pick the three albums that have influenced their music. These are their picks.

The Downward Spiral – NIN

It’s a milestone, it created a sound that completed the process of rockers and ravers getting together. It’s a brilliant album. We also have to add that Trent Reznor‘s work in general is something that will always inspire us as well as future generation ( we think / hope…).

Flaunt It – Sigue Sigue Sputnik

Sigue Sigue Sputnik are amazing. Their entire work and especially this release represent an amazing moment for music, with punk, electronica, glitter pop all at once. We think it’s a piece of work that presents a form of expression extremely free from any ties or pre-defined style rules and it still sounds great after 33 years!

Blood – This Mortal Coil

We love This Mortal Coil. We have chosen Blood even though It’ll end in tears probably has better songs, think of ‘Song to the Siren’ sang by Elizabeth Fraser.. we picked Blood because it is their last album from a really peculiar band, a bit like us. We wanted to start from where they left off in 1991.
