Dancehall are a newish, 2016, band based in London / Kent and formed of members of longtime E&D faves Kill Kenada and Spoilers. Recorded live throughout 2016 and 2017 to the band’s own three-take rule with producers Mark Jasper (Slowcoaches, Cold Pumas, Sauna Youth) and Christopher Smith (Charmpit, Teenage Caveman, Spoilers), Dancehall’s The Band, released June 15th through Vibe/Anti-Vibe, is 10 tracks of focussed, distorted melody.

We have the video for new single ’96’ for you, of which Timothy V from the band said “’96’ is about that point in your teenage years where you have to make a decision which gang or group you are gonna follow.

In 1996 I should have dropped out of school and perused my path in classical guitar and the Royal College of Music in London… but instead I had a breakdown, started a band in my parents lounge and quietly complained to myself about not knowing who or what I was meant to be, so lone wolf… Play it cool.”

Feast your eyes & ears.
