Little Whales, the solo project of Vrishank Menon from Death By Fungi fuses the influences of shoegaze, slowcore, emo and melodic punk. After the first Little Whales EP, which was more aligned with bands like Red House Painters, American Football, Codeine, Christie Front Drive, Vrishank Menon started to explore different influences from his favorite 90s bands – The Shoegazers – My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive and melodic punk like Strung Out and Pulley.

‘Seventeenth Century Artisan’ is a song about leaving behind baggage from previous years and moving on with your life, all played to face-paced Bouncing Souls-esque drums and Slowdive like guitar landscapes.
