We first crossed paths with Zolle back in 2013 when Phil Johnston described their self titled debut album as “instrumental in delivery but with zero pretentiousness or poe faced introspection. Zolle aren’t re-writing musical history here or breaking down barriers of style. What they do however is provide a soundtrack to a raucous party and do so with unrestrained velocity”.
A couple of years on from their 2nd album, Porkestra, they are back with a third installment. Infesta was recorded by Giulio Ragno Favero (il Teatro degli Orrori, OvO, MoRkObOt) and played on an aluminium guitar and copper drums. It will be be released on 26th May through Subsound Records and we’ll be streaming it in full tomorrow. Ahead of that we have the premiere of the video for ‘Magnum’ to give you a taste of what to expect.
